 If you've eaten various traditional Korean foods, aren't you looking for exotic foods that can be found only in Korea? Let me introduce you to some exotic Korean food that can attract your attention.

 The first is Silkworm Larva(beondegi). It is a famous street food in Korea that is cooked silkworm larvae. The dish, which was a popular snack for Korean children in the 70s and 80s, features a savory taste. Eunpa Lake Park, the park in front of the Kunsan University, also has a place selling Silkworm Larva at a low price. It's sold in a paper cup, and it is a dish of salty brown broth. Since it has been cooked with insects, it is also very different to Koreans. But once you taste it, you might fall in love with the savory taste of the Silkworm Larva too!

 The second food is eel, which is a long fish that looks like a snake. Koreans often eat this fish as a nourishment to replenish their strength. Koreans usually eat a lot of grilled eel with salt and red sauce. Salt roasting is characterized by a savory, light taste, and spicy grilled eel is delicious. When eating roasted eel, it is recommended to eat it with sliced ginger because it relieves the smell of the fish. Also, eel have a lot of small spines, so you should eat carefully. It may be unfamiliar to you because it looks like a snake, but it tastes good to everyone, so we recommend you to try it if you have a chance.

 The last food is the live octopus. A live octopus is served right away without fainting or killing the octopus that is collected from the sea or mudflats. The characteristic of this dish is that the chopped octopus moves lively and wriggles, so most people are shocked. When Koreans eat this food, they usually dip it in sesame oil, and sometimes they eat it with chopped hot pepper. But you should be very careful when you eat this food, because the octopus’s sucker is likely to grab your throat. For this reason, be sure to chew and swallow, and do not sallow it immediately without chewing. Also, it is helpful to dip it in a lot of sesame oil.

 Korea’s exotic food contains Korean culture as well as its unique appearance and recipes. If you've eaten most of the famous Korean foods and want to try new and unique Korean foods, we recommend that you try them.
